Treatment for back and neck pain
Back and neck pain are among the most common reasons people see a physiotherapist. We take a whole-person approach, looking at posture, movement, work and lifestyle to find what is driving your pain, rather than only treating where it hurts.
Treatment combines hands-on care with exercise, so you understand your back and know how to look after it.

Mobilisation and soft tissue techniques to ease pain and stiffness.
Core, posture and mobility exercise matched to your body.
Electrotherapy and heat where they help you move more comfortably.
Ergonomics for work, sleep and lifting, plus aquatic therapy if it suits you.
At your first visit we ask how the pain started, what makes it better or worse, and how it affects your day. We examine your spine and movement and check for any signs that need a doctor’s opinion.
You’ll leave knowing what we think is going on, what to do and what to avoid, and how your treatment will progress.
Short rest can help in the first day or two, but staying gently active usually helps recovery. We’ll show you which movements are safe.
Seek medical help straight away if back pain comes with numbness around the groin, loss of bladder or bowel control, new weakness in the legs, fever, or follows a serious fall or accident.
Usually not. Most back pain can be assessed and treated without a scan. If we think you need one, we’ll tell you why.
Exercise in warm water, with less load on painful joints.
Joint, muscle and bone problems, injuries and recovery after surgery.
Stroke, Parkinson's, MS, nerve and spinal cord conditions.
Injury care, taping and a safe return to your sport.
Play-based therapy for children with developmental conditions.
Hands-on treatment for stiff joints, tight muscles and the spine.
